We were out for our 19.99 AC Tuneup special AC not working due to float switch being open. Drain pan full of water. There is a large hole in the pan for the evaporator coil. All water from AC is just dumping below. Client is going to call the company that installed the equipment and check warranty with him. Gave him option to replace if they won’t cover. Ordered filter that will be direct shipped to him. Thank you for having us out!

Verified proper air flow and temperature differential across coil. Outdoor controls and motors all testing within proper manufacturer specifications. Service disconnect is in good condition and properly fused. Compressor amp draws are within range. Verified condition of outdoor coils. Refrigerant levels are proper at this time. I had GR Metro come out and take a look at my Air Conditioner as it got some ice damage from last winter. He was able to come out and test the system and look at the coils to see if it was damaged. The numbers all came back good for the pressure and everything else. They did not try to tell me I needed to get a new system. I feel he was honest and truthful about my system. He showed me all the numbers real time and didn’t try to hide anything.

We were out today because pan under furnace was overflowing. Water coming from a compromised evaporator pan. Was able to verify with endoscope camera. Replaced faulty float switch that failed. Part is covered under warranty. Vacuumed up about 25 gallons of water and restored operation. Gave option to replace both the pan and the AC system. Due to AC being 22 years old, we cannot guarantee reliability of this system. Right now, HVAC systems that use R-22 can still be maintained and serviced by an HVAC professional with the existing supply of this older refrigerant. That means, if your unit uses R-22, you can still perform regularly-scheduled maintenance. Keep in mind, as the years of the production and import ban go on, the supply of R-22 will continue to dwindle, which will make it harder to get your unit serviced in the future. The EPA is encouraging people who use HVAC systems with R-22 to replace them with a more eco-friendly option when their unit needs to be replaced. Thank yo

System is passed its life expectancy and does not meet modern efficiency standards. We at GR Metro cannot guarantee the safety and operational integrity of this system and therefore recommend replacement. Unit is low on R22 refrigerant. Right now, HVAC systems that use R-22 can still be maintained and serviced by an HVAC professional with the existing supply of this older refrigerant. After a rocky start getting someone to come out (there was a software glitch on their end with scheduling, and as a computer tech I absolutely respect those issues), Kate had Andrew scheduled to take a look at my system at 8am today. He arrived respectfully early, listened to what we had to say, and was empathetic a d understanding. He diagnosed the problem and presented us with multiple options. When we made our decision, he did not press for us to do more. I was NOT prepared for him to be available to finish the work today, given I'd only scheduled a diagnostic service call. But he went straight to work and got the part he needed and now I have functional central air and heat again! I absolutely appreciate his explanation of everything and willingness to work around the morning chaos in my 104yo house.

We were out today because system was not cooling. Replace failed blower motor and capacitor. Cleaned very dirty blower wheel and cleaned AC evaporator coil. Restored operation. System is now cooling properly. Please note, that system is 24 years old and nearing the end of its service life. Charlie was very professional and knowledgeable with the installation of our new A/C unit. He explained how to maintain the unit and how to clean the debris trap. Our old unit did not have this. GR Metro saved us when our motor on our furnace stopped working on the coldest day this past winter that same day. Now they gave us the info we needed to make the decision to replace our 29 year old A/C unit. Next day installation and new unit working great, quieter and more efficient. Had some wear due to lack of airflow through outdoor unit from cottonwood build up. Thoroughly washed coils to improve overall performance. Installed 5*2*1 Start Kit to help reduce compressor wear. Performed air conditioning tuneup. Verified operation of indoor blower and inspected evaporator coil. Tested condensate drain system.
