Installed new 50 gallon water heater along with furnace tune up
I inspected the water heater and found leaks coming from both the tank and the drain port, indicating significant wear. Due to the extent of the damage, repair is not an option, and a full tank replacement is necessary. I have scheduled the replacement for tomorrow, ensuring minimal downtime for the homeowner. In the meantime, I turned off the water supply to prevent further leakage. The new water heater will restore proper functionality and efficiency once installed.
Replaced an old furnace with a new Rheem Classic Plus Series R801T. I removed the outdated unit and installed the new high-efficiency model, connecting it to the existing gas line and ductwork. After ensuring all connections were sealed and secure, I tested the system for proper operation. The R801T is an 80% AFUE furnace that provides reliable heating and improved energy efficiency. Once installed, I ran a full cycle to confirm it was functioning smoothly, providing even heat throughout the home. .
I provided a quote for the removal of the garage heater and ductwork. Upon approval, I removed the furnace and associated ductwork from the garage, ensuring all disconnections were done safely. After the removal, I thoroughly cleaned the area and recycled the old materials according to proper disposal guidelines. The garage space is now cleared, and all debris and equipment have been properly handled for responsible recycling.
Replaced a warranty evaporator coil for the HVAC system. After disconnecting the old coil, I removed it from the air handler and installed the new coil, ensuring all connections were properly sealed and secured. I reconnected the refrigerant lines and checked for leaks. Once the installation was complete, I tested the system to ensure the new coil was functioning correctly and that the system was operating efficiently. The replacement was done under warranty, and the system is now back to optimal performance.
Relocated the AC condenser to the other side of the home. This involved disconnecting the refrigerant lines, power supply, and drainage lines from the original location. After moving the condenser to the new site, I reconnected the refrigerant lines and electrical wiring, ensuring all connections were secure and leak-free. I also adjusted the drainage to properly direct condensate away from the unit. The system was tested to confirm proper operation and efficiency at the new location, ensuring it is functioning effectively.
Conducted a rental inspection and found that the furnace did not pass due to a failed heat exchanger. I informed the property owner of the issue and provided both repair and replacement options. The repair involves replacing the heat exchanger, while the replacement option includes installing a new furnace. I detailed the costs and benefits of each option to help the owner make an informed decision and ensure the heating system meets safety and performance standards.
