Furnace Replacement Goodman High Efficiency Furnace
No heat, last week it over heater and this week I noticed a pressure switch fault caused by a clogged trap which was caused by a large bug blocking the outlet causing the system to not drain. I cleared the drain. Cleaned burners and system works correctly at this time
Clogged filter caused furnace to overheat. Suggested filter replacement then they should have no problems
Shane had us out today because they are having some issues with the furnace. System was locked out. Pressure switch is re-opening, according to code on the board. Made sure venting, tubes, and drain were all cleared. Very little combustion air in the room. There is an opening, but it was plugged up. This was due to cold air infiltration. Should have been a pipe extending it back to the furnace and water heater. It was plugged due to builder saying it was ok to plug up, but furnace needs it open because it is only a one pipe system. No intake was run outside. Furnace also overheating with an 80 degree temperature rise which is well over what the manufacturer calls for which is between 40-70. Unit is tripping high limit safety and that is with a clean filter. Furnace is very oversized for the house and the ductwork is grossly undersized. A manual J calculation calls for a 55,777 BTU heat load (which would be a 60,000 two-stage furnace) and a 28,115 BTU cooling load (2-2.5 ton AC)m whic
